TOEFL iBT Testing Center
The Grier School has been an accredited ETS test center for the TOEFL iBT since 2007. The candidates here are all exclusively Grier students. Marie Shaffer (founder, manager and test center administrator) and Frank Lambert (test administrator) administer up to 16 test sessions between September and May. In 2010, the Grier School TOEFL iBT Test Center received a letter of commendation for its excellent administration in the year 2009.

were re-certified as test center administrators in February 2011.
Familiar and reassuring testing conditions:
-the Grier School offers the TOEFL iBT test to its students exclusively (no outside candidates);
-students simply walk from their dorm to the room where the test is taking place;
-the test center staff is composed of Grier teachers.
Candidate registration based on the students’ needs:
-if you are a senior and you desperately need a TOEFL score for your college application? You have priority to take the test!
-if you are a junior and you need to assess your English level before your start the college application process? You have priority also!

Who must register:
The school requires that all seniors take the TOEFL test at least once during the first semester, and all juniors to take the TOEFL at least once during their junior year. Therefore, priority will be given to seniors first semester, and juniors second semester.
NOTE: the school requires at least 7 candidates to run administer a test.
How to register:
The sign up sheet is available 2 weeks before the test in Mrs. Shaffer’s room.
If you have never taken the TOEFL test in the USA before, you will create a TOEFL profile on the computer with Mrs. Shaffer.
