Grier School's Dance Instructors

Jocelyn Labriola-Hrzic is the Founder and Artistic Director of Fluidity Dance Company and has been the Director of Dance at Grier School for ten years. Additionally, she is the creator and Artistic Director of both the Grier Gala Performance and Workshop and Motion Dance Competition and Convention.
After graduating from Point Park with a BA in Dance, Jocelyn studied on full scholarship at the renowned Steps on Broadway (NYC). During her professional career, she danced with Maxine Sherman’s Company (NYC), Theatre West Virginia (including a performance at the White House), and both Norwegian and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as Dance Captain and Line Captain.
Jocelyn teaches master classes and choreographs for Penn State University, Point Park University, Muhlenberg University, LaRoche College, ACDFA, and Allegheny Ballet Company. In the summer months, she serves as Head of Dance for the Grier Summer Dance Intensive, and also teaches for the Point Park University International Summer Program and the Allegheny Ballet Company Summer Program.
Jocelyn’s choreography has been showcased at Leo’s Choreography Festival (Chicago), Dancing Under the Stars Choreography Festival (Palm Desert, CA), Koresh Artist Showcase (Philadelphia), Steps Professional Performance Lab (NYC), and Project Dance (NYC). Her choreography was also presented at the St. James Theatre in NYC for the Gypsy of the Year Performance.
Jocelyn is married to Matt and has a daughter named Jillian.
Andrea Young is back with us to finish out the school year. Andrea still dances with Fluidity.
Kristin Shoaf Roberts began her early training with Deborah Anthony at the Allegheny Ballet Academy. As a member of the Allegheny Ballet Company she performed in multiple Regional Dance America – Festivals. Kristin was selected by Violette Verdi to receive a RDA Festival Scholarship Award. Kristin continued her training with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the Pacific Northwest Ballet School and with the San Francisco Ballet School.
As a professional dancer, Kristin has performed with Ballet Austin, Chautauqua Dance Company, Kansas City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Allegheny Ballet Company as a guest artist. Some of the roles she has performed include: Puss in Boots and the Fairy God Mother in Sleeping Beauty, the Soloist Role in Balanchine’s Rubies, Meander in Alvin Ailey’s The River, Balanchine’s Serenade and Western Symphony, Todd Bolender’s Souvenirs and Voyager, as well as many other classical and contemporary works.
Kristin was a participant in the New York International Ballet Competition where she danced both solos and in pas de deux with her husband. Kristin was selected to perform as a Soloist in the award winners Gala Performance.
Kristin and her husband, Jamie, are the owners and directors of the Huntingdon Dance Academy in Huntingdon, PA. They have a five year old daughter, Sophia and a one year old daughter, Audrey.
Jamie Roberts began his training in Salt Lake City at the School of Ballet West. He continued his studies at the School of American Ballet in New York City, The San Francisco Ballet School, The Pacific Northwest Ballet School and the Dance Aspen Summer Festival.
Jamie has danced as a member of various professional companies including Boston Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Austin and the Chautauqua Dance Company. He has trained under Stanley Williams, William Christensen, Sharee Lane and Pierre Dulaine. He has worked with influential artists including Todd Bolender, Bruce Marks, Igor Youskevitch, Cynthia Gregory, Janie Parker, Eleanor D'Antuano, Jerold Arpino and Peter Pucci.
Some of his favorite roles have been Prince Florimund and the Bluebird from The Sleeping Beauty, Grand Pas Classique, Franz in Copellia, Cavalier from the Nutcracker and Balanchine’s - Western Symphony, Jewels, Serenade and Concerto Barocco.
Jamie has performed as a guest artist with and instructed young dancers in regional companies and schools in Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Arizona. He and his wife Kristin are currently running the Huntingdon Dance Academy in Huntingdon, PA.
