In this music technology class, students learn digital recording, mixing and editing techniques using the professional multi-track audio system, Pro Tools. They learn how to place dynamic and condenser microphones for optimal recording results and can practice their skills through recording and producing CDs of live performances. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in post production projects combining audio with video, and in providing sound effects for live theatre productions.
