School/Safety Guideline Updates for 2011-2012
As we prepare for the new school year, it is important to remind all about existing and updated school/safety guidelines that are not published in the handbook. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions:
FIRE HAZARDS
Due to concerns regarding fire safety, the following items are prohibited in the individual dormitory rooms: Microwaves; Hot plates; Holiday or rope lights; Single extension cords; Candles or any open flame device.

Free standing mirrors are easily shattered and can cause serious injury. For this reason, these mirrors are not permitted in the dormitory rooms (even if attached to the door or wall).
Natural disaster safety procedures have been updated and the school will conduct drills for proper evacuation procedures throughout the school year.
To ensure the safety of our students, all weekend events are planned through the Student Activities office. Students may not hire taxis or outside transportation to leave campus.
