Starting with the 2010-2011 school year, Grier School will no longer manage Personal Allowance Accounts for our students. Instead, an ATM machine, owned by M & T Bank, will be installed in our school. The ATM machine will accept ALL types of credit, debit and ATM cards, however there will be a slight fee unless an M&T card is used for the transactions. Representatives from M&T Bank will be available during Opening Weekend and Parents' Weekend to address any questions regarding the ATM on campus. Parents will be able to conveniently monitor their daughter’s spending from anywhere in the world. Additional information about M & T Bank may be found at their website: MTB.com
An option available to students during this transition will be a check cashing service. Checks mailed directly to the student can be cashed on Friday afternoons at the school busiess office with a weekly limit of up to $300.
We feel that this change will ultimately prove to be beneficial for the girls. Any prior balance left in the personal account from the 2009-2010 school year was transferred to the student's Activity Account in June.
VERY IMPORTANT - Travel, Schedules, Forms!
