Grier Hunt Seat Team Awarded High Point
Grier riders recently competed on home turf in the Zone Two Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Hunt Seat show. Grier’s Hunt Seat Upper School Team won the title of high point team, with Claire K. winning as high point rider, Ella P. winning reserve high point rider, and Lindsey W. winning the sportsmanship award. First place winners in their events include: Claire K., Ella P., Holly C., Lindsay S., and Shelby H.
Additionally, riders from Grier competed in the in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at the Central Pennsylvania Junior Horse Show Association’s Benefit Show and Equitation Finals. In the CPJHSA medal finals, Lauren H. finished 2nd in the first round and 6th overall.
Update 10/03/16: Congratulations to the Grier riders at Swan Lake this past weekend. Paulina E. finished 2nd in the Gittings Equitation Medal. Camila L. finished 1st place in the both of her High Hopeful Jumper classes on Sunday. Christina B. finished 1st in the High Hopeful Jumpers on Saturday. Peyton B. was Reserve Champion in the Pleasure division on Sunday. Linnea K. was Champion in the pleasure division both Saturday and Sunday. Emma T. was Reserve Champion in the Pleasure division on Saturday. Lauren H. finished 2nd in the SPHSA Medal Final. Hayley A. finished 1st in the Gittings Medal on Saturday. Mia P. finished 1st in the Gittings Medal on Sunday, 1st in the Low Childrens Jumpers, 1st in the 1.05meter jumpers and 2nd in the $750 Low Childrens Jumper classic both Saturday and Sunday. Ella P. received multiple 2nd place ribbons in the Child/Adult Hunters. Andrea Y. placed well in the Hopeful jumpers.
