Athletics
At Grier, girls work to achieve a balance of analytical thinking, creative expression, and physical fitness. Students are required to participate in physical activities four times per week, during the afternoon hours. Grier offers a variety of sports, including competitive varsity sports and recreational sports which include options of team sports and individual sports. Our facilities include a gymnasium, studio spaces, soccer and tennis fields, riding rings, heated outdoor swimming pool, and extensive grounds. Grier provides transportation to off-campus locations for skiing and bowling.

Students may try out for a place on Grier’s competitive varsity sports teams. Members of varsity sports teams enjoy recognition in seasonal Varsity Sports Banquets. Fall/Winter Varsity teams include:

Fitness Center
Students who are interested in additional personal fitness can benefit from Grier’s on-site fitness center. The fitness center features cardio equipment, such as treadmills and elliptical machines, as well as circuit weight-training machines, free weights, and additional equipment for stretching and resistance-training. The fitness center is open seven days of the week.
