Dance

Dance is one of the most popular programs at Grier School—and justifiably so. Nearly half of all students take dance classes at the beginner, intermediate, and pre-professional levels in styles including ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. Regardless of the level, dancers at Grier learn from our talented faculty and guest artists and enjoy outstanding facilities. Students perform four new shows each year and attend special events such as the annual Grier School Dance Gala, choreography showcases, and national dance conventions.

Grier’s state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center features: • 8,000 square foot Harlequin sprung Marley floor • 275-seat theater • Sound-proof studios (two, with a third in a neighboring building) • Professional-level lighting and sound system
