Grier Classmates Collaborate Around the World

While we social distance ourselves, Grier students and teachers are coming together across the world for online classes. Through the wonders of technology, students are having discussions and collaborating on projects, such as their American Literature assignment.
Students in Dr. Guydish-Buchholz’s English 10 CP recently created newspapers inspired by Zora Neal Hurston’s novel Their Eyes Were Watching God. Her students worked in small groups, coordinating with each other across different time zones and using different technologies to generate finished newspapers.

Students in each group took on journalism roles, such as writer, editor, photographer, and proofreader. Dr. GB is proud of her students’ work and how they rose to the challenge of distance learning. These Grier girls showcased excellent teamwork!

Check out the journalistic work of the following Grier students who collaborated across North America, Europe, and Asia for their projects. Well done, Dr. GB’s English 10 CP classes!
