Grier Plans to Honor Seniors
Last week, Grier Head of School Mrs. Gina Borst shared plans for honoring Grier’s class of 2020 through a digital graduation celebration, personalized gift box, and an invitation to return to celebrate a year from now. In a letter to parents of the Grier Class of 2020, she wrote:
Even during this unbelievable situation, life continues on, spring has arrived, the school year will be coming to an end shortly, and it is almost time to say goodbye to our senior class. While this is definitely not the way any of us wanted to recognize and celebrate graduation, the Class of 2020 is such a special group of young women, they deserve whatever we can do to honor our seniors for all they have accomplished during their time at the Grier School.
The online graduation celebration is set to feature speeches by National Honor Society members, announcements of senior awards, recognition of each member of the Class of 2020, brief remarks from Dr. Grier, Mrs. Grier, and Mrs. Borst, along with some faculty messages and a few extra surprises. Grier plans to launch the online Graduation Celebration on June 6th. More details on how to view the celebration are to come.
Mrs. Borst ended her letter by thanking the families for sharing their daughters with Grier. All in the Grier community would agree with her sentiments about each Grier senior, when she writes, “It has been a pleasure watching her grow and mature into a beautiful, bright and talented young woman who is ready for the next phase of her life.” These students will, as Mrs. Borst says, forever be in her heart.
