Grier Gives Back to the Youth Services Bureau
For the Grier Giving Project, homerooms compete to collect the most items for a deserving local charity. Volunteers help collect items from the homerooms, pack the donations, and deliver them to the local community. Recently, for a Grier Gives Back giving project led by the Junior Class, homerooms competed to collect books for a local charity serving children and teens.
The Center County Youth Services Bureau (CCYSB) ensures that children, youth, and families will have opportunities to realize and fulfill their potential for growth and development through their participation in a continuum of community-based, family-based, and residential programs.
Students helped load up a vehicle with about sixteen large boxes of new and gently used children's books and Grier faculty members drove the donations to the Youth Services Bureau in State College.
