03/19/21 - End of Year Planning

Dear Parents:

Thank goodness spring is almost here. This means it is time to think about the end of the school year, graduation, and of course, next year.  I decided to compile several subjects in to one correspondence for your convenience.  Please read through this email and take note of the topics pertaining to your family. I hope everyone is well as we approach the last marking period of this challenging school year.  I look forward to the time when the pandemic is a distant memory.

Calendar Updates for this year (changes are in red):

  • End of Marking Period 4: April 1, 2021
  • Friday, April 2, 2021-Monday, April 5, 2021-NO CLASSES (Long Weekend - classes will resume on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
  • Thursday, April 22, 2021-Earth Day Event on Campus (No regular classes but day students should report to campus for school events).
  • End of Marking Period 5: May 14, 2021
  • Final Exams: May 17-19, 2021
  • Senior Parent Pick Up: May 21, 2021
  • Graduation: May 22, 2021
  • Students in grades 7-11 may depart for summer break on May 19-21; May 23-24.


Room Deposits:
 
If you are planning on having your daughter return to Grier School for the 2021-2022 school year and have not yet notified the school or sent a room deposit, please be in touch with me as soon as possible with an update. Feel free to send the deposit to the school via bank wire, check or credit card to the business office so that we may move forward with preparations for the fall semester. I look forward to hearing from you.



Senior Class Information for Pick-Up on Friday, May 21, 2021:
 
Guidelines:   
 
1. Sign up for a time slot on the chart below* (we will do our best to keep you as close to your choice as possible).

2. There will be three (3) families meeting at the colonnade for loading every 30 minutes.

3. Please adhere to your set time so we can accommodate all families equally.

4. Email your signed chart to gborst@grier.org by April 23, 2021.

5. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

*Refer to email for time slot document. Time slots are every 30 minutes from 10am-3:30pm.
