March is Women's History Month

Rebecca Woolfrey
March is Women’s History Month!
While  girls and women are valued and celebrated all year long at Grier, this month-long celebration designated by Congress is a reminder to examine the contributions of women to American history, to celebrate the accomplishments of women throughout history, and to learn more about the struggles women have overcome and what issues women face today.

There are a variety of ways to celebrate Women’s History Month. Here are some to try:

Explore the history of women’s rights.

Learn about contemporary women’s issues and struggles.

Support women.
  • Shop from women-owned businesses.
  • Contribute to organizations that help women.
  • Participate in political advocacy for gender equity.

Show your appreciation to women, including yourself!

  • Write a thank you note to a woman who inspires you.
  • If you're a woman or a girl, write a love note to yourself.

To women past and present who have overcome injustices and pioneered paths to equality, we thank you!
