Sara Herron, Grier class of 2018, was inducted into the 2022 Sheetz Fellows program on November 6. Established by Steve and Nancy Sheetz of Altoona, PA, the Sheetz Fellows program fosters creativity, community, and entrepreneurship with the aim of developing strong business leaders in the Altoona area.
Members of Sheetz Fellows must meet and maintain rigorous academic standards, achieve a minimum of 80 hours of servant leadership, complete a credit-bearing internship or creative project, and meet several other exacting requirements to qualify for the program.

Sara, a native of Altoona, PA and Penn State Altoona class of 2022, is currently earning her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Business with an option in Management & Marketing and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She's aiming to work in the marketing field when she graduates and hopes especially for a career involving digital media. She is proud of her induction into Sheetz Fellows, and says that the program has already helped her to gain real-world experience, contributed to her personal and professional growth, and helped her to develop an entrepreneurial mindset that she hopes will allow her to "flourish in the workplace."

As an inducted member, Sara will receive a fully paid 10-day Sheetz Fellows education abroad experience, a $10,000 scholarship for her senior year at Penn State Altoona, a mentor to guide her professional growth, and one-on-one interaction with Mr. Steve Sheetz, member of Sheetz, Inc. and Sheetz Family Council Chairman.
