On April 26, five Grier School students participated in the Huntingdon County Envirothon. The yearly competition is comprised of five stations that assess student knowledge of Pennsylvania Wildlife, Aquatic Ecology, Soils and Land Use, and Forestry.
It also includes a current event, this year’s being Waste and Resources. Lucy J., Coco L., Rosie T., Jiwon H., and Juno F. collaborated to demonstrate their knowledge and to compete with other school teams. While they did not place on the county level, Coco L. said “We had a fun time, and it was nice to have a little trip to a beautiful place with a lake and flowering trees.”
