Senior Rider Sydney's Story
In the article, "Survivor and Champion," The Erie Times newspaper shared the inspirational story of Grier's own equestrian Sydney and her horse Mr. Moe.
As the article relates, Sydney received Mr. Moe as a gift from the Make-a-Wish Foundation when she and her sister were both children diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, a type of cancer. This year, Sydney was a varsity rider with Grier's Equestrian Team and winner of a championship title in her division at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Finals.
