A Special Shout Out to Our Student Council
Let’s take a moment to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our student council. They have been working hard to keep our school spirit high, even through the depths of winter. We are just wrapping up another awesome Spirit Week so let’s take a look at everything they did for us!
On Monday, Student Council got us cozy and creative with Anything But A Coat Day. We fought back the cold with anything we could dream up (as long as it wasn’t in any way coat-ish). Flannels, quilts, and even a few cloaks made an appearance in the Grier School hallways.
Tuesday was “Spread Your Love Day”. Teachers and students alike dressed in as much red, pink, purple, and white as possible.
Wednesday was Childhood/Throwback Day. Teachers and students dressed (and sometimes acted) like a past version of themselves. We saw everything from 90’s butterfly clips to 80’s goths, not to mention several hippies. The halls of Grier looked like a fashion time machine!
Thursday was Mismatch Day and the halls were packed with the clashiest, tackiest, outfits imaginable. Polkadots with plaid, stripes with tie-dye. You name it.
And finally, Friday was Beach Day. To really help us get out of the winter doldrums, we dressed in our best (or most ridiculous) beach gear. Beach towels, floppy hats, and oversized bags were all the rage!
Thank you Student Council for lifting our spirits and helping to keep Grier the most creative and fun school on Earth!
