Tennis Finishes Season, Bids Farewell to Senior Captains

The 2019 Grier Varsity Tennis team finished their season yesterday, October 23,  with a 6-2-1 record. Last week, the team honored their only senior players, team Captains Maggie A. and Chaewon L. 
Maggie is a four-year starter. She played number-one singles for Grier, with a  record of 8-1 this season. Her only loss was a very competitive match against Hollidaysburg’s number-one in the last match of the season. Chae is a two-year starter who has played in Grier’s number-one or number-two doubles team. Her record this season was 3-5. Her proudest moment this year was winning her only singles match against Mercersburg 8-6. Coach Kelly Forest and Assistant Coach Kitty Moyer presented the seniors with flowers and balloons, thanked them for their great teamwork, and wished them best of luck. 

Grier Tennis recently for won their last two matches of the season, against Tyrone and Mercersburg. Congratulations, Grier Tennis, on a strong season and farewell to our tennis seniors, Maggie and Chae. Go, Grier!
