At Grier School, we are proud of our diverse student community and culture. This year it is our goal to highlight our Grier Girls in their own words. Our new series, Meet Grier, introduces our students to our extended community while showcasing their achievements and stories.

MEET MORGAN M. '21!

Name: Morgan M.
"Home" when you're not at Grier: It has to be my barn at home. The community there reminds me a lot of Grier. The environment is very supportive and loving.
Year: Senior 2021

Age/Grade Started at Grier: 11th Grade

Why/How Did you Decide to Attend Grier?

I was looking for a school that would challenge me in different aspects of my life. Academically, riding wise, and socially. I have received all of those challenges but in a very positive way.

Why do you prefer the all-girls school environment?

All of the other schools I toured were co-ed schools. When I walked onto Grier campus, I knew it was the school for me. The bonds you make with the girls here are bonds that are unbreakable.

Do you participate in any Signature Programs or activities?

Varsity Riding. The riding team has so many different types of people that you grow to love. You become part of a family. Our coach, Coach Chrystal, doesn’t let you give up and lets you learn and grow.

What has been your favorite memory or story from your time at Grier?

The activities that are held on campus. We recently had a bingo night and it was a lot of fun laughing together.

What are you most excited about for this year?

It’s my last year as a highschooler and I’m excited to spend my senior year with my best friends.

What is your favorite tradition at Grier and why?

When it snows we all go sledding and it’s so much fun when you get a day off from school and get to spend that time with your friends.

What advice or message would you share with future Grier Girls?

Sometimes it can be tough being in a school with all girls, but it is so worth it. The friendships you make are unbreakable.
