Art

This program is perfect for girls, ages 7-17, looking for a fun camp experience in a beautiful, serene location with top-notch arts facilities. Grier Summer offers a three-week program in creative and performing arts.
  • Campers choose four different elective activities from a variety of creative and recreational options.
  • Art activities provide opportunities for creative expression with instructional guidance.
  • Campers may improve on existing art skills and explore new creative modalities.
  • Activities are taught by Grier School teachers, professionals hired for the summer, and students majoring in Arts at reputable College/Universities.
  • Art classes are open to all campers – even those participating in our intensive programs.
  • Creative activities may include: pottery, digital art, drawing & painting, water colors, creative writing, photography, mixed media, fiber art, jewelry, and printmaking.
  • In our pottery classes, campers receive instruction on the potter's wheel.
  • Other recreationally expressive activities offered may include: yoga, theatre improvisation, musical theatre production, and dance.
  • Campers interested in photography help document the adventures and activities that go on throughout the session.
  • An end of camp Art Exhibit is held for parents and friends to view their campers work.
