Grier Equestrian Teams Celebrate Weekend Victories!

This latest championship streak began on Thursday, when the Grier Western Team traveled to the Quarter Horse Congress at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio. Both the Upper and Middle School teams were Champion over 21 teams from all over the country. First place finishers included: Grace, Marian, Olivia, and Anleigh. 

Over the weekend, the Grier Hunt Seat Team competed at home and took home big wins both days. 

The Grier Upper School and Middle School teams both earned Champion titles on Saturday. Lily received the honor of Reserve High School High Point Rider and Macarena, Reserve Champion Middle School Rider. Additionally, Daina received the Sportsmanship Award. First Place finishers included: Lily, Anleigh, Grace, Ferne, Marian, Macarena, Catie, and Aahana.  

Again, on Sunday’s Hunt Seat IEA Zone 11 Competition, the Grier High School and Grier Middle School teams each finished as Champions. Grier’s Upper School riders dominated the competition, with the final score 45 to 25!  Individually, Catie earned High Point High School Rider and Anleigh, Reserve High Point High School Rider. First Place finishers included: Grace, Anleigh, Catie, Whitney, Macarena, and Aahana.

Very well done riders and coaches!  Families will have an opportunity to see their daughters ride during a Riding Exhibition taking place the Saturday morning of Parents Weekend.
