Grier Hopeful to Resume Summer Camp in 2023

Rebecca Woolfrey
On Friday, November 5, 2021, Grier Head of School Mrs. Gina Borst shared an update about Grier Summer Camp 2022 with families.  In her letter, she conveys the difficult decision to cancel the 2022 Grier Summer Camp based on the latest information from all relevant local, state, and national authorities regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Mrs. Borst noted that during this time, camp faculty continue to plan and develop exciting experiences for the campers once Grier Summer can resume operation.
Mrs. Borst's letter to families:

November 5, 2021

Dear Grier Summer Campers and Families,

This is the time of year when Grier Summer Camp typically begins the preparations for the upcoming summer season. We certainly miss having our campers joyfully engaged in the activities that take place on campus. Still, the safety and well-being of our beloved campers, counselors, faculty and staff must continue to be our primary concern.

Grier Summer Camp diligently monitors all relevant local, state and national authorities regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the knowledge at this time, we have made the tremendously difficult decision to cancel the 2022 Grier Summer Camp. We know many of you will be disappointed but we hope you understand our decision. If there is a silver-lining during these difficult times, it is that that Grier Summer Camp staff continues to develop new and exciting experiences for our campers to participate in once Grier Summer Camp reopens, and trust me, the camp will reopen!

Thank you for your patience and continued support to Grier Summer Camp. We look forward to the day when your daughters can, again, participate in the amazing adventures being scheduled for the summer of 2023.

Sincerely,

Gina Borst, M.Ed.
Head of School
