Cheer for Grier at Tonight's Soccer Game!

Grier’s Soccer team had its first away game yesterday against DuBois Christian School. The Grier student-athletes departed at 1:30pm to arrive in DuBois, Pennsylvania, for their 3:30pm game. Although the team was missing a few key players due to injuries, Grier had a strong defense during the first half, and Daphne C. made a phenomenal pentalty save. Though Grier lost this game, they have a chance for redemption tonight as they face DuBois Christian at home.
Members of the Grier Varsity Soccer team hail from Mexico, Cyprus, Ethiopia, South Korea, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Maryland, New Hampshire, New York,  and Pennsylvania. Mr. Packnick of the History Department coaches the team, assisted by Mrs. Putt, a new member of Grier’s Art faculty. Elizabeth C. and Connie M. serve as team managers.  Players include:

Maryanna B.
Maria C.
Daphne C.
Besti D.
Sophie G.
Lucy H.
Chantelle H.
Jiwon H.
Sem M.
Adele P.

Last month, the team faced Tussey Mountain High School and Blair Christian School at home. These games resulted in losses for Grier, so the girls are hungry for a win as they face-off against each team one more time during their season.  Cheer them on at their FINAL home game of the season, tonight at 4pm against DuBois Christian School. Go, Grier!
