Paint and Sip at Clay Cup Pottery and Café

A group of students joined chaperone Mrs. Kim Pope for a Friday afternoon trip to the Clay Cup in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The Clay Cup is a hip, creative studio space that also features a café with a variety of coffees, Italian sodas, and bakery items. Students painted bisque pottery, choosing just the right shade from a huge selection of colors.
Students could select what type of item to paint and many chose mugs, coasters, and small plates. The glazed pottery will be fired in the studio's kiln and delivered to Grier for the students to cherish or give as a thoughtful handmade gift to someone special.

Mrs. Pope says the trip was a great success and looks forward to returning again soon.
