Grier Competes in 2016 PA National Archery in Schools Program
On Friday March 11, two members of Grier’s archery team participated in the 2016 PA NASP Tournament. The NASP tournament is a yearly archery competition comprised of all schools participating in the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP)within Pennsylvania. There were approximately 918 shooters participating in this year’s tournament, 406 of whom were girls.
Lauren and Shannan shot during the first flight and scored 263 and 267 out of 300 respectively. Their final rankings were as follows: Lauren’s overall rank was 46th out of 406, while Shannan was 69th out of 406. Lauren and Shannan ranked exceptionally well considering this was their first archery competition.
