Members of the seventh and eighth grade class organized and operated their annual Valentine's fundraiser bake sale was held on Tuesday, February 13th, in the Grier Auditorium. Staff and students could purchase goods baked and donated by teachers and students.
Along with their class advisor, Mrs. Davis, the 7th and 8th grade students solicited donations of baked goods from teachers and fellow students. The sale featured a huge variety of cupcakes, brownies, cookies, fudge, and other treats, many of which were Valentine-themed. Mrs. Cherie Gates' peanut butter fudge, Ms. Katt Barr's delectable lemon tartlets, and Mrs. Greta McCracken's beautiful cupcakes were some of the most popular goodies for sale.
Without a doubt, the sale was a success and the seventh and eighth grade class raised $466 to donate to the Grier Community Fund and the Grier community enjoyed a sweet treat just in time for Valentine's Day!
